I have a twin-tuner cheapo device bought from Maplin several months ago
and identified in dmesg as 'TwinHan AzureWave AD-TU700(704J)'. Sections
of dmesg that seem to belong to it are given below.
I've found that it often gives good recordings, but can't be relied on
to do so, so I have used it as my third dvb device. Consequently it's
usually scheduled only when several other recordings are also being made
and the system is fairly busy. When only one of its tuners is in use
the recording is usually good, but I've recently had apparently good
recordings from the second tuner that have just stopped. Sample backend
log below. I think that I inverted the 'natural' order of the tuners in
mythtv-setup, so this is device 0.
Following a suggestion posted recently in a thread dealing with a
related device (KWorld DVB-T PC160-2T) I've added
/etc/modprobe.d/no-af9015-remote.conf containing 'options dvb-usb-af9015
remote=-1'. I think the recording quality may be better after that, but
a good recording that suddenly stops isn't ideal.
Is any one successfully using this device? I think Nick Morrott said he
had one, but that was very soon after purchase.
TIA
John P
