[mythtv-users] Multicasting a FE Controlled by MythDroid Using MultiCat

I am wondering if one can do the subject using http://ivoire.dinauz.org/blog/index.php?post/2010/09/02/Multicat

In simple terms could one connect the FE to the BE but with MultiCat as an intermediary (on the FE or BE) that unicasts to the FE 
and also multicasts the stream to the LAN?

Alternatively can a FE feed its output to Multicat, (Instead of the screen) which is then, in turn, multicast to players such as 
VLC?

Obviously in this setting the switches need to be multicast capable and WiFi (if present) needs to be compatible, e.g. with 
multicast transmission turned off in the WiFi router.
