[mythtv-users] ATSC Encoder change breaks Mythtv

Last Friday, KSTP-DT (ABC affiliate - Minneapolis-St. Paul) installed a
new Harmonic 8130 MPEG encoder. Since this change, Mythtv recording and
playback (Watch TV) is broken for their primary channel (5.1). The
secondary channel (5.2) continues to work normally. In the 5 days
since the upgrade, I have been the only person to bring a problem to
their attention.

I am getting severe out of sync audio and video on the primary channel.
After a few seconds of playback, the video and audio will begin to
stutter and the audio lags 10 to 15 seconds behind the video. I've
messed with audio and video playback settings but nothing corrects the
issue.

-v playback shows:

This essentially loops forever.

I have 4 tuners and all do the same thing. I put one of the tuners into
a Windows PC and playback is fine. Playback is equally fine in Fedora
using ME TV. The issue does not seem to be LinuxTV or driver related.

In Mythtv, disabling audio, results in smooth video playback. The
station engineer at KSTP is working with me to find a fix, but since I
am the only complaint he's seen, and he know nothing about Mythtv I am
hoping that someone here can help me resolve the problem on my end.
