The answer is no.  MythTV requires (in practice) that you use the same
version on all machines.  While it may not always be the case that a .1
release is incompatible, in the case of 0.23.1 and 0.23-fixes and it is
always that case that anything other than identical versions is not
supported/recommended/advised anywhere.
