Wow, I hate mailing lists :). 
It's so much easier to edit posts and cover individual input by consolidating. Here, I end up with these crazy long threads.

The bottom line is that I don't really know what to expect from TV out anyhow. 
I originally thought I would simply have set top boxes on each TV, and some output device for HD theater. 
Figured one gets a GUI of some sort.
