I just experienced a hard drive failure on my back end system forcing
a reinstall.
I did a fresh install of Centos 5 using the plus kernel
2.6.18-194.11.4.el5.centos.plus #1 SMP Wed Sep 22 11:16:27 EDT 2010
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
I've installed myth current version (Which I was on the major version
prior to failure)
[root at mythcentos log]# rpm -qa | grep mythtv

I restored my database backup from prior to the failure. Since my
recordings where on a separate hard drive in the storage group (Nice
feature) to the front ends everything is fine it just appears the back
end was turned off for a few days.
The problem i'm having is when I try to launch mythtv-setup or even
mythfrontend on the restored backend both immediately exit with
segmentation fault.
I've tried all the following commands
mythtv-setup -O ThemePainter=qt
mythtv-setup -O ThemePainter=qt -geometry 800x600+1040+200
mythtv-setup -v All
Nothing gives any output. I have no messages in log files either.
I've even tried it over ssh tunnel.
