Please be aware that this will only work with mythvideo where it is
not using storage groups OR where the player understands the storage
group protocol

Storage groups are required by mythweb now.

local directory access is expected to be removed from a future release
of mythtv. The recommendation is to get used to using teh internal
player and log faults where the internal player doesnt work for you
with samples of video for debugging.

I have been solely using myth internal player for a while and have
rarely encountered problems, the internal player is much much much
improved compared to 0.21 (I am on 0.23-fixes)
