[mythtv-users] Transcoding SD MPEG2 to H.264---recommendations?

...and as a quick followup, any ideas on how important cache size
would be on the CPU doing the transcoding?  Should I trade off half
the cores for double the cache per core?  If I wind up buying new
hardware as part of this, I might as well know...  Tnx.
