Hi

A quad LNB is just an LNB with 4 independent feeds. So it has 4 cables
running to it, and each one of those can be connected to an independent
receiver (or satellite card).
It increases the number of simultaneous different transponders you can look
at.

With a single LNB, you can only simultaneously receive transponders which
are in the same band.
