You may be right, but before and after every BBC program now one gets a load of 
trailers and puffs for forthcoming programmes as well as 'infomercials' telling 
you how to pay your TV licence. They may not strictly be called 'commercials' 
but they are just as irritating. About the only redeeming virtue of them is they 
don't 'pump up the volume' for the sound levels.

The encroachment of these also means that scheduled programmes don't always 
start or end when they are timed to, so I always have to trim the recordings.
