[mythtv-users] issue MythTV keyboard commands via ssh

Is it possible to issue the usual keyboard commands like ...
channel up
channel down
volume up
volume down
etc ...
via an ssh connection to the myth frontend system?

I have a myth frontend display monitor in a central location in a large room
but I am moving around between systems like ...
linux desktops
windows desktops
linux servers (CLI)
netbooks
etc
and they all have ssh access to this myth frontend system.
