I upgraded to 0.24 from 0.23 and it seems that VDPAU playback results
in judder or jumpiness with
1080i 29.97 interlaced telecined content. Log excerpts are below. More
info can be provided if necessary.
With 0.23 the log had this:
2010-08-06 22:57:27.226 VDP: Accepting: cmp(> 0 0) dec(vdpau) cpus(2)
rend(vdpau) osd(vdpau) osdfade(enabled)
deint(vdpauadvanceddoublerate,vdpauadvanced)
filt(vdpauivtc,vdpaucolorspace=auto)
2010-08-06 22:57:27.263 VidOutVDPAU: Enabling VDPAU inverse telecine
(requires Basic or Advanced deinterlacer)
2010-08-06 22:57:27.401 VidOutVDPAU: Enabled deinterlacing.
2010-08-06 22:57:27.412 Enabled deinterlacing
and things looked fine. Now, with the same profile, it gets
2010-11-23 13:29:27.971 VDP: Accepting: cmp(> 0 0) dec(vdpau) cpus(2)
skiploop(enabled) rend(vdpau) osd(vdpau) osdfade(enabled)
deint(vdpauadvanceddoublerate,vdpauadvanced)
filt(vdpauivtc,vdpaucolorspace=auto)
2010-11-23 13:29:27.975 VidOutVDPAU: Enabling VDPAU inverse telecine
(requires Basic or Advanced deinterlacer)
2010-11-23 13:29:28.162 VidOutVDPAU: Enabled deinterlacing.
2010-11-23 13:29:28.237 Player(a): Enabled deinterlacing
and it is jumpy.
I disabled the dblocking filter and it gets
2010-11-23 13:55:15.913 VDP: Accepting: cmp(> 0 0) dec(vdpau) cpus(2)
skiploop(disabled) rend(vdpau) osd(vdpau) osdfade(enabled)
deint(vdpauadvanceddoublerate,vdpauadvanced)
filt(vdpauivtc,vdpaucolorspace=auto)
2010-11-23 13:55:15.915 VidOutVDPAU: Enabling VDPAU inverse telecine
(requires Basic or Advanced deinterlacer)
2010-11-23 13:55:16.095 VidOutVDPAU: Enabled deinterlacing.
2010-11-23 13:55:16.170 Player(b): Enabled deinterlacing
and it is not jumpy. I'm not sure disabling the filter makes it look
worse or not.
Any ideas?
Mark
