[mythtv-users] 0.24 recording troubles

Hello,

Upgraded today to 0.24 and ran into issues with several shows that aired
tonight:

1. Grey's Anatomy: channel 11.1 from 9 to 10 PM. There are some weird
problems with the length of this recording. The frontend thinks that
only 30:51 minutes got recorded. Opening the recording with xine I can
watch up to minute 51, but still not the entire episode.

It seems like my wife was trying to watch this show live so I see one
"Started recording: "Grey's Anatomy":"Something's Gotta Give": channel
2111 on cardid 1, source id 2" message but several "Finished recording
Grey's Anatomy "Something's Gotta Give": channel 2111" messages.

At the end I see:

2010-11-11 22:03:00.077 TVRec(1): Changing from RecordingOnly to None
2010-11-11 22:03:00.090 Updating status for "Grey's Anatomy":"Something's Gotta Give" on cardid 1 (Recording => Recorded)
2010-11-11 22:03:00.093 Finished recording Grey's Anatomy "Something's Gotta Give": channel 2111
2010-11-11 22:03:00.111 Reschedule requested for id 0.
2010-11-11 22:03:00.222 MainServer, Error: PREVIEW_SUCCESS but no receivers.
2010-11-11 22:03:00.281 Finished recording Grey's Anatomy "Something's Gotta Give": channel 2111

Bottom line is that my wife can't watch this episode until the end.
She's pretty upset at me right now because of this :-(

2. The Office: channel 17.1 from 9 to 9:30 PM. The problem with this one
is that the backend apparently started to record:

2010-11-11 21:00:03.176 Started recording: "The Office":"Viewing Party": channel 2171 on cardid 3, sourceid 2

but it seems like it didn't store the recording anywhere. There is
no file associated with the recording and I see lots of these in the
backend log:

2010-11-11 21:05:29.776 ProgramInfo(2171_20101111210000.mpg), Error: GetPlaybackURL: '2171_20101111210000.mpg' should be local, but it can not be found.

Nobody was trying to watch this show while it was being recorded.

3. Private Practice: channel 11.1 from 10:00 to 11 PM. Recording started:

2010-11-11 22:01:02.960 Started recording: "Private Practice":"What Happens Next": channel 2111 on cardid 3, sourceid 2

However, for some reason the final size of the recording file is just
135 megs. It seems like my wife tried to watch this show while it was
being recorded, probably using LiveTV at some point.


I don't recall having problems like these with 0.23. Sorry I don't have
more details, but am happy to provide full backend logs if anyone wants
to dig more.
