Just to post a follow up incase anyone is curious, that patch did not
resolve the issue.  It now reports that the audio is AC3 instead of
AAC but it does not work.

is what it reports during playback. Test with external players as
well, no audio.  So that hack doesn't work, too bad, got my hopes up.
