But is there any reason why the active glasses where one eye is blanked for
one frame etc, can't be built into prescription glasses. It is only the
polarising glasses which have to block light all the time and they are only
used in cinemas cause the glass technology is very cheap and disposable.
Htpc screens tend to use active glasses costing £100 each

Not to mention, the glasses I wear around the house are mostly transparent -
they let through almost all light to both eyes simultaneously. Glasses for
3D can only supply 50% of the light to each eye using the current display
methods.

I'm not a rock star - I /don't/ wear sunglasses indoors.
