I saw one of those tech shows on TV back late '70s or '80s, couple guys
in a garage had figured out how to do 3D on standard TV's.
I'm watching it on my pos Magnavox and they show a scene in a park.
Nothing special.
They turn on the 3D signal and suddenly I'm seeing trees up close, trees
far away, and a Frisbee flying by.
No glasses required.
Not the 'in your face' kind of 3D, but depth like I've never seen
before, or since.
Signal was rough and noisy but they attributed that to junkyard
components on their end.
