Mike: I appreciate that you're trying to move contrib scripts to the 
wiki.  I used the trac reference because it already contains links to 
other tickets that show why it was written and how it can be used with 
mytharchive and, optionally, a shrink-to-fit requantiser, to create DVDs 
with video and one stereo channel.  That may not be exactly what people 
want, but in my experience it does it reliably.  The old system, which I 
used with mencoder, used to work quite well for me, but I had had more 
problems with it since early 2009.

I suspect that quite simple tweaks would enable use of the script with 
subtitles and more complex audio and I really posted it and the 
mytharchive patch as a basis for further work by anyone interested.  I 
don't think the traffic is likely to swamp trac, but I'll look at adding 
to the wiki stuff.
