Ah, you're using a DVB card, so there is no support for external channel 
change script. In that case, your options are to modify the MythTV 
source, or just set up some log-watching program to send the proper PIN.

are among the available log-watching apps. Just have it look for the 
PIN required message and run a script that sends the PIN in response.

Thanks to your response. I would prefer to start mythbackend in verbose mode and show only the "dvbcam" messages. This is because I think the -l option (logfile) sends all messages to the logfile. And that's quite a lot of stuff! Does anybody else know how to send back strings to DVB-C CAM's (maybe via mythbackend)???? So I can try in the meantime to setup a verbose daemon......
