I have a 42" 1024x768 plasma TV (a Samsung), and I've very happy with
the picture quality.  But I regret getting a TV with non-square pixels,
as it makes it awkward to use it as a computer monitor.  For example,
sometimes I want to connect my laptop to the TV to display something,
and it will come out stretched horizontally.  Some video players (mythtv
and mplayer, for example) can compensate for this, but I haven't found
an image viewer that does, and of course few other applications do.

In short, you might save yourself headaches if you find a model with
square pixels.
