GAH.  Is it really worth it?!  If you're seriously going to
transcode/archive that content, you really need to invest in better
hardware, or you are going to get a serious backlog really quickly,
I'd think.

Maybe more watching/deleting and less archiving might make it seem
less like a chore :)
