Hah, that's giggles. The MCE receivers can pick up pretty much an IR
protocol at any frequency. They're quite flexible, you'd never have an
issue with a limited number of codes.

Any. If it doesn't, we'll make it work. (Case in point, the topseed
0x0008 receiver... See lirc list archive and commit log for details.

Sure, but they're pretty much all more expensive than mce
transceivers, typically have less features (i.e., no blasting
capabilities) and have less robust drivers.

(I have upwards of 20 different IR receivers/transmitters/transceivers
here, the mce ones are by far the best bang for your buck).
