[mythtv-users] User Job for cropping HD OTA to 4:3?

Yes, I was using MythArchive, but I'm now converted to using (mostly) the
scripts you have supplied--THANKS! They're very helpful. The only thing I
added was a mencoder run to do some clean-up of the video files and do some
cropping.

The next thing I'm interested in is figuring out multiple shows per dvd (or
dvd menus). It looks pretty complicated, so I may take a tip from this forum
and use mytharchive to create the xml for dvdauthor, then do everything
manually after that.

Thanks,
Jon

How are you making the DVD? Using mytharchive? I had very poor results using
mytharchive and abandoned it in favor of non-mythtv tools. If I am making a
DVD with just a single program on it I use the attached script mkdvd.sh that
makes a dvd without menus, etc. Also to see what audio and video streams are
in an mpeg video I use the attached fidentify.sh script.

I record OTA HD programs and sometimes convert them to DVD so these scripts
make it easy and faster than futzing with mytharchive.

John
