Jack,
    The error "... some possible causes are that you need to enable 
TCP/IP networking for ORBit ..." indicates that you require the "env 
`dbus-launch` sh -c 'trap "kill ..." statements as part of your cron 
job. The problem is likely cron environment related. Try changing the 
Mirobridge options in the cron statement from -V to -Vt as it may reveal 
information in the log that could help in the problem analysis,
