Sounds like I should be reading that, thanks.

I used to use the lkml histories for buying general hardware in a previous job even when it was meant to be running that other OS, sometimes it gives an insight into which hardware to avoid! Especially significant for big purchases, I've spent too long arguing with the manufacturers of iffy hardware.
