[mythtv-users] Troubleshooting Help Needed

I've got a new installation of Mythbuntu 9.10 with a Hauppauge PVR-350
tuner card. I've signed up for Schedules Direct and I'm trying for my
first time to just watch TV to make sure everything is working before
trying to setup recording etc. When I select Watch TV I get please
wait for a few seconds and then it just returns me to the menu. Is
there something I need to do to get TV working etc so I can watch TV
and record?

So, with that not working I thought I would try a ripped movie. I have
configured the Myth backend to directories to be linked to my external
USB hard drive. Now when I select Media Library | Watch Videos I just
get no files found. Is there a special structure that has to be setup
for Videos? The video directory is organized by video name and then
under that directory is the video_ts directory.

For now those are my two basic questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
