[mythtv-users] Having trouble with Jamu

Elkin,
Jamu decides whether a recording or scheduled program is a Movie
when there is no subtitle in the EPG data. If Jamu fails to find the
"movie" on TMDB then it gives one last try on TVDB just in case it was a
TV series without EPG subtitle/episode info or was a TV movie like
"Virtuality" which is on TVDB.

In essence Jamu is guessing at which movie the title may be and
tries to combine the title with the year from "originalairdate". Some
times guessing is too complicated. See how many "Lord of the Flies"
variations are on TMDB. Even you may have a difficult time deducing
which one matches your EPG info. Rather than guess wrong Jamu just skips
that program.

 > tmdb -M "Lord of the Flies"
10847:Lord of the Flies (1990)
9960:Lord Of The Flies (1963)
14668:Lord of the Flies (1990)
18657:lord of the flies
18659:Lord of the Flies
26951:lord of the flies

If you are really dead set on getting the images for the movie you could
add an entry on your jamu.conf file section "[series_name_override]".
Read the jamu-example.conf file for details on that section.

Doug
