[mythtv-users] no sound from mythnettv downloaded files?

Hi,

(yes I know this will all be replaced in .23)

I was trying to get mythnettv working - it downloads successfully and
then transcodes the result (why I don't know, it was an mp4) creating:

$ file default/1268435161_mediawatch_2010_ep04.avi
default/1268435161_mediawatch_2010_ep04.avi: RIFF (little-endian)
data, AVI, 320 x 180, 25.00 fps, video: DivX 5, audio: MPEG-1 Layer 1
or 2 (stereo, 44100 Hz)

this plays fine with mplayer but has no sound from within mythtv, the
frontend is a revo 1600 running ubuntu 9.10.

any hints?
