[mythtv-users] Tricks for getting FusionHDTV5 USB Gold working?

I have a FusionHDTV5 USB Gold connected to my Myth box (Core2Quad, 6GB RAM, Ubuntu 9.10 x64, Myth 0.22+fixes, Comcast). I was able to set the input device up and scan for channels (found some). However, when I'm trying to watch live TV, the picture is very poor (jerky, blocky, etc) and the sound is distorted and has lots of drop-outs, etc.

Any suggestions from the hive mind?
