[mythtv-users] HD3200 via HDMI to CRT PAL SDTV

Hello,

I just connected my Jetway NC81LF-based mythbackend to the Philips TV
(CRT) using HDMI.
I get a nice 1280x720P picture. The only other mode that xrandr shows is
640x480.

I will be mainly recording and playing PAL SDTV content.
How do I optimize the Xorg settings for the video signal and mythTV for
optimum results?
I.e.: what is the best approach?
Assume that 1280x720 is the native resolution for the TV and leave it as
is? Have mythTV upscale?
Or set the TV to 720x576 (PAL), perhaps in progressive mode?

Any advice?
