True, but in some cases it makes odd decisions. For example something like the 
"CBS News" it may show the original airdate for that program, which is clearly 
not a rerun.

Nice feature, as long as you understand the limitations and are careful.

A safer thing (at least for me) is to rely on the "already recorded" flag to 
prevent recording duplicates. Obviously without specific episodic information 
this is useless. Stations sometimes only send generic information to the 
database, so you have to blame the individual station or network, not SD, when 
this happens.
