[mythtv-users] Mythbackend problem

Mythbuntu 10.04 + daily builds on i386, 500Mb RAM

1 x Skystar DVB card + 1 x PVR150

I am having a problem with Mythbackend.
It randomly stops responding, the process is still running and consuming only about 12% of CPU and it continues to record fine, however none of the frontends can connect and mythweb times out.

There is nothing of any note in the logs (see below), the issue occurs almost daily at a random time and does not appear to be linked to the number of recordings or things being played back. Sometimes it happens when recording one program, sometimes while nobody is watching anything, other times it happens when watching and recording 6 things at once.

It occurred today at 8:03am (see logs below)

The only way to resolve is to stop and restart mythbackend and then clients can connect again immediately.

I've searched the depths of google looking for a solution and have tried everything I have found so far (MySQL tweaks, turn of UPNP, turning off cron jobs, upgrading myth versions).

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can trace this problem it would be much appreciated.

I don't think it is a frontend issue as it can occur when no frontends are connected, likewise this rules out a network issue.

**** marks the spot in the logs where all the clients stopped responding
