While it would not be difficult to get MythTV running on an ARM
processor, you still need something else to handle the decoding. The
ARM just doesn't have the power to do so. Yes, that particular chip
provides a pair of hardware video decoders, but they're not going to do
you any good if you don't know how to use them.
Sigma Designs has not openly released the specs to those decoders, so
you have to agree to an NDA to get access to the information needed to
use them. Being behind an NDA, you cannot release open source code that
uses such hardware. The only way MythTV, or any open source project for
that matter, would ever support that chip is if someone spent the time
to reverse engineering the interface. It's simply not worth the effort
when other options are available.
