On a stock mythbuntu 10.04, mythnetvision works for me. I didn't
disable pulse audio and I don't think it's disabled by the mythbuntu
guys either. So it might just be the problems with pulse and 9.10.
I'd upgrade to 10.04 instead of trying to remove pulse from your system.
