My Vizio does this, and it *is* annoying. When I'm watching a recorded show
late at night with the volume down low, sometimes when I want to turn the
volume down on a loud section, I hit channel down instead of volume down (too
many damn remotes with buttons in different places), and the tv switches to the
cable input at it's last volume level (usually much louder). Definitely not
appreciated by my wife, who is generally asleep.
