Freeview Allowed To Use DRM To Curtail Online Piracy
http://paidcontent.co.uk/article/419-freeview-allowed-to-use-drm-to-curtail-online-piracy/
"many manufacturers do not use open source software and in cases where
they do can opt for an open source licence which is compatible with
the BBC’s proposed licensing arrangements"
Doh!
Given mythtv's architecture (and licence!) I'm not sure if there would
be a way to handle this blooming DRM in a way that would satisfy the
Freeview providers (e.g. I'm not sure restrictions on content re-use
could be enforced). Am I being too pessimistic?
