I google'd ncid a bit, and that seems to be to do with modems and getting
caller ID from land lines, this isn't a land line. It's displaying SMS and
incoming calls to my (verizon) cell phone and there are no modems anywhere
on my network (unless you count the cable modem I guess).
It's really weird, I have no memory of setting anything like this up, and I
only noticed it a few weeks ago (nothing has been upgraded on frontend or
backend for months). I don't get many calls on that phone outside of
business hours though.
And ... I think I've just figured it out. It's an android phone and I have
MythDroid on it, which has an option to display incoming calls and SMS on
the OSD. Now it all makes sense.
