This is not part of Ubuntu's repository, but MythBuntu. In MythTV Backend Setup I enabled the MythBuntu PPA (0.23 fixes). After that some new dependency packages were installed and then Myth 0.23 was installed (or really upgraded from 0.22).
This had me confused for a while. The Mythbuntu control centre lets you choose from 'stable' and 'trunk' as I recall. When 9.10 was released, stable was 0.22 and trunk would later become 0.23. What it doesn't tell you is that if you select 'trunk', it'll keep you at 0.23 i.e. when 0.23 is released, it will diverge from the trunk path and keep you on 0.23-fixes.
In short, if you're on 9.10 and you want to run 0.23-fixes, select "trunk".
(You might want to wait for somebody to confirm that before doing anything though ;-)
Cheers,
Jon
