Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your reply.  Since I get the exact
same behavior on recordings from a number of channels (PBS, NBC, ABC,
CBS) with shows listed with a variety of audio sources (none, dolby
digital, dolby digital 2.0, dolby digital 5.1), I thought it was a
pretty safe bet that the issue was with my configuration, and not with
the audio source itself...
