[mythtv-users] Backend consolidation, continued...

[@%$^!3*%^!!! just spent a couple hours neutering that bs nouveau crap
and reinstalling nvidia from source on my frontend. The last updates
broke the video... Now watching a F1 hot lap at Silverstone. 147 mph. wow!]

My (old) newly assembled, dedicated master backend is proving to be a pita.

The (2) pvr-150's refuse to work. They come up, one or the other will
record, and the other is dead. See below for some logs. I googled the
ivtv1: DMA TIMEOUT 00000001 0... lots of problems, few (no) solutions.

Fscking ubuntu doesn't lshw anymore so from memory, the hardware is:
P4 3.0 Gigabyte i850 1GB 1066 RIMM, OS on WD 250GB, Recordings on 1TB
Maxtor. (2) PVR-150. (1) Aver A180 (1) KWORLD ATSC115. U10.04. (backend
version below)

The backend crashes every time I start or stop a recording. It crashes
randomly during recordings. All apparently related to the analog cards.
The DVB cards seem to be rock solid. They're working better than they
ever did on 0.21.
aaah, the frustration...
