I got the sa3250ch.c modified for my vendor/model id, compiled it, and
installed it and it was working fine. Then I rebooted and it did not work.
dmesg | grep firewire contained:
firewire_ohci 0000:06:07.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 23 (level, low) -> IRQ 23
firewire_ohci: Added fw-ohci device 0000:06:07.0, OHCI version 1.10
firewire_core: created device fw0: GUID 00e6bc100000241d, S400
firewire_core: created device fw1: GUID 000a73f057de0000, S400
After fooling around I discovered that unplugging and re-plugging the
firewire cable would fix it. After unplug/replug dmesg has the added lines
firewire_core: skipped bus generations, destroying all nodes
firewire_core: rediscovered device fw0
firewire_core: created device fw1: GUID 000a73f057de0000, S400
Not sure why it's "rediscovering" fw0 but re-creating fw1 here.
Any ideas how I can get this thing to work on reboot without fooling with
the cable?
Thanks,
Steve
