The directories you define in your recording storage groups can be
anywhere you wish, so long as the user the backend is running under has
permissions to write to it.  Ideally, this is on a partition (preferably
drive) separate from your system install and MySQL database.  If for
whatever reason the partition holding a live MySQL database fills up, it
will crash and will likely have to be recovered from a backup.





Additionally, the current versions are 0.22-release and 0.22-fixes. 
While there have been minor revision releases in the past (like 0.20.2),
that additional number is some unofficial number tacked on by your
distribution.
