I almost never watch the major networks, so I haven't run into the preview 
problem. I normally watch  the second or third run networks, which are 
generally easier to predict, and thus detect commercials.

I think commercial detection is probably as good as it can get, and I am 
happier to have it as an option than not to.

This refers only to the US networks, I understand the problem in other 
countries is significantly different.
