Agreed.  And since the vast majority of settings should be set to the 
default values (i.e. we've chosen the default values for good reason), 
you seldom need to change more than 3 or 4 settings--all of which can be 
changed whenever you notice it's not working the way you like.

The only exception being the Playback Profile group--when you first set 
up a mythfrontend system, you should go to Utilities/Setup|Setup|TV 
Settings|Playback and change the Playback Profile group on the 3rd 
screen from CPU+ to Slim.

Exactly.  It's /much/ harder to find a setting that breaks the config 
than it is to start with reasonable (and well-thought-out) defaults and 
adjust if you dislike anything.
