I'm at CES, and I've seen the product.  Or at least an engineering demo 
of it.  Windows 7 only (not Vista or XP, or anything else), and 
CableLabs seems to be the one that's going to drive the show as far as 
allowing an Open Source program to access the content.

The physical form factor hasn't been decided yet, but it will only have 
one coax connector on it (with an internal splitter to two tuners). 
Without a cablecard installed it will function as a QAM tuner.  Ethernet 
connectivity.  Wall wart.

I'll be heading back tomorrow if there are any specific questions that 
the group comes up with.
