And I guess most importantly, I really need to understand whether a
frontend on a new machine can destroy the data in my backend
mythconverg database. For example, if the frontend has a newer version
of mythtv, will it upgrade the schema without warning or will there be
incompatibilities leading to data corruption?

More generally, is the Windows version considered stable enough that
at a minimum it is very unlikely to corrupt the database? In other
words, I can live with Windows frontend crashes or missing
functionality but I don't want to risk losing video data or corrupting
the database.

Thanks
