[mythtv-users] Mythmusic and permissions

How are permissions set up on the files/directories mythmusic rips from CD?

output of ls -l on some directories in my music directory, which is on a 
NFS mount:

drwxrwxrwx  4 root   root    512 2009-03-01 11:37 Helen Humes
drwxrwxrwx  3 sshd   pulse   512 2008-03-30 09:03 Ike Turner_Jackie Brenston
drwxrwxrwx  3 jmcgee jmcgee  512 2008-04-02 22:26 Jackie Neal

Last night, mythmusic could not rip a CD saying it did not have 
permissions.
I have never been able to been able to write to these directories from a 
Windows machine.  I think at one point I changed the ownership on 
existing directories to jmcgee so I could write from the XP machine.

But why cannot .22 mythtv on Ubuntu 9.10 write to a directory it created 
a couple days ago? I am getting updates from the avenard repository.

and is there a way to make it so these directories are created so I can 
write to them from a XP machine without changing ownership?
