We previously had built a front-end for out there running Linux, but the mobo we used, and how we needed to have it setup... just never agreed. We could never end up getting digital audio working under Linux, but it was no problem under Windows. ANYWAY, long story short, roommate got frustrated with it one day and went out and bought the Mac Mini. Frankly, its been about 97.5% perfect, right out of the box! Digital audio, 1080p playback, no tearing, full screen hulu, everything that we "fought" with under Linux and Windows "just worked".

When we first set it up, we were running 0.21-fixes, and this past week I upgraded my backend to 0.22-fixes. The Mac Mini frontend is now also running the updated frontend binaries from Sniderpad, and we're still experiencing the same issue. The problem being that it is very inconsistent, which is making it hard to track down what the problem is. We can run a "test" 5 times in a row, and get what seems to be completely random results: start Mythfrontend, start playback of a video (same video each time), and it MAY or MAY NOT have the fast playback problem. Quit mythfrontend, try again. Totally random.

Sounds a lot like:

Are any of you running .22 on Mac OS X? Still present?
