This part here looks like a clue:

2010-02-19 21:27:20.921 Backing up database with script: '/usr/share/mythtv/mythconverg_backup.pl'
2010-02-19 21:27:21.157 DBUtil Error: Error backing up database: /usr/share/mythtv/mythconverg_backup.pl /tmp/mythtv_db_backup_conf_5XfF1E (512)
2010-02-19 21:27:21.157 Script-based database backup failed. Retrying with internal backup.
2010-02-19 21:27:21.160 Backing up database to file: '/mnt/mythtv/media/Default/mythconverg--20100219212721.sql'
2010-02-19 21:27:21.179 DBUtil Error: Error backing up database: 'mysqldump --defaults-extra-file='/tmp/mythtv_db_backup_conf_ecDuf5' --host='' --user='mythtv' --add-drop-table --add-locks --allow-keywords --complete-insert --extended-insert --lock-tables --no-create-db --quick 'mythconverg' > '/mnt/mythtv/media/Default/mythconverg--20100219212721.sql' 2>/dev/null' (512)

It can't even back up the database, which shouldn't depend on anything mythtv-specific. Can you run the mysqldump command manually, without the 2>/dev/null at the end, and see if it outputs any errors?
