[mythtv-users] live TV problem

Hi,

Live TV in mythtv is not working :( Seems that question is asked a lot,
so I've searched, but couldn't find anything that solves my problem.

I have a standard 878-based analog tuner card. It is configured properly
and works fine with kdetv and tvtime. I've added it in mythtvsetup,
imported the program info and channels with mythfilldatabase and can see
the program guide and channel numbers. However, when I click 'Watch TV' I
get only static and later a blue screen. Changing channels doesn't help
either. I've looked through the backend logs and it seems it is using the
right device (/dev/video0) and right channels, there are no (apparent?)
errors in the log. I've deleted and recreated video input/sources multiple
times, but that doesn't help. I went through the database (channels,
cardinput, etc.) and everything seems OK...

If I start watching TV in mythtv, then start, say, kdetv in an other
terminal, TV shows in mythtv. I then kill kdetv and I can change channels
properly in mythtv. No sound, but let' leave that for later. If I exit
live
tv and go back to the menu, and then go back again to TV, I get static
again. Starting up kdetv fixes it. So I'm guessing mythbackend(?) is not
initializing my tuner properly, but how to find out what is going on and
where the problem is? I've tried verbose logs, but no errors or hints in
there either.

My setup: Mythtv 0.22 with Mythdora 10 on x86_64.

Any ideas?
