[mythtv-users] SPDIF->HDMI for all audio 0.22 (Mythbuntu & JYA repo)

Hi all,

I am having some problems getting my 0.22 system working with SPDIF out to
HDMI for all audio. My system is Mythbuntu 9.10 with the JYA repo. I had two
FE only machines that were 9.10 upgraded from 9.04 that were working fine. I
recently moved and only have me MBE set back up. It is a clean install of
9.10 and has never had SPDIF out working before.

For the FE audio settings I have the output set to 'ALSA:spdif' and
channels set to 5.1. If I try to set channels to 2 as I used with 0.21 then
the passthrough options for AC3 and DTS disappear. Leaving channels at 5.1 I
can then select DTS and AC3 as audio options and set the digital out to
ALSA{ AES0 0x02 }. With these settings I am able to get audio on the MPEG2
files that have AC3 audio. I do not however get correct audio on my .nuv
recordings from my analog frame grabber.

With 0.22 how do I set it to send _all_ audio out the SPDIF port with AC3
and DTS as passthrough?

Thanks,
James
